Hot Mess!

I have used the term "hot mess" or "disaster" recently to describe Reese Ann. Sometimes I think that I am being too mean to talk about my child like that, but other times I think those terms don't begin to describe how wild she actually is! Here is a picture to give a snapshot of our day:


RA has her first black eye from falling into the coffee table while dancing around. Also, please note the duct tape- it's the only way her diaper stays on at night & during her nap. She can get out of every item of clothing except for one pair of jammies, and this mom is tired of changing crib sheets!

21 months & summer update

Our baby girl is 21 months! I will update one more time when she is 2 in September, but for now, Reese Ann continues to be a joy and a fun challenge each and every day! She is getting wilder and spunkier as each day passes, and is loving the summertime! She still loves to be outside and has started going to mothers-day-out this month and adores her "school!" There is so much to do and so many new things to climb on and explore that she gets so excited on the days she gets to go. She still adores Cooper, and other than when she gets in his stuff, he adores her, too!



We made a trip to the beach with my family the end of May. We all had a wonderful, relaxing time! Cooper warmed up to the water as each day passed but was his normal, cautious self. Reese Ann, on the other hand, ran through the waves and was jumping in the pool on the first day. We definitely had to keep our eye on her constantly!





After we came home from the beach, Cooper had a couple more t-ball games before the end of the season. He was excited to be finished because it had gotten so hot, mainly because he got a trophy! What a fun thing in the life of a four-year-old little boy!
