Our fun lunch outing!

Photobucket

A friend of mine mentioned that at a local train museum there was a dining car where they would let you take lunch and eat it there. I decided that this would be a fun outing for my last week of maternity leave! Edie, G-Chip, Cooper, Reese Ann, and I made the trip to downtown Jackson for lunch! I did not get any pictures of the outside of the trains because I was so busy taking movies of my tremendously excited little boy, but here are a few shots of the inside of the train!

Recent happenings...

The winter days around here are flying by! Lately, they have included lots of celebrations and milestones!

Here is the picture of Reese Ann's first experience in the exersaucer...

and- not long after- her first taste of rice cereal! She liked it, but...

really liked eating the bib better!

We celebrated Granny's upcoming 80th birthday with a surprise luncheon with a group of her friends and some family.

Here is a picture of Reese Ann, my mom, grandmother, aunt, uncle, and myself from the outing.

Reese Ann fell in love with the baby in the restaurant mirror! She couldn't take her eyes off of her, and Aunt Anita loved entertaining her!

We have built many a train track and played with too many trains (but Cooper still wants more, of course!), celebrated Natalie's 23rd birthday in Memphis (no pictures unfortunately), had lots of runny noses, and fun days home together!

Last, but not least, Dan and I got dressed up for a night out at a fun party with the kids away for the night, and as we were headed to the car we realized we did not get a picture. Our solution...

Making the best of it...

Photobucket

We are a little tired of the snow around here after being completely snowed in for the long weekend at the end of January and then the encore snow that came through yesterday and this morning. Cooper wanted to make a snowman at our house during the last snow, but daddy had already gone back to work and I talked him out of it! This time, I decided to give in. Some friends of ours gave us a snowman-making kit for Christmas, so we put it to use and made a "snowboy!" Cooper was so proud!

Baby Dedication and five months old!

We had a wonderful celebration of Reese Ann this weekend! She turned 5 months on Thursday and we dedicated her life to the Lord this Sunday! Our pastor, Wes, who is also a good friend performed the dedication, and we enjoyed our family being in town to celebrate with us at church and brunch afterward! She wore the christening gown that my great Aunt Ada made for my sisters, cousins, and me to wear many years ago.

Reese Ann is such a precious baby and while she is sometimes a little temperamental about people other than her momma interacting with her, she performed very well at church! We can't believe she is 5 months old!
