St. Louis!

Photobucket

Dan decided last minute that he wanted to make a trip to St. Louis to see a baseball game a few weeks ago. Being in my very pregnant state, I suggested he take his brother and mom along with Cooper and leave me at home, and he quickly agreed! They had a great, quick trip, caught two baseball games, saw the arch, and visited the Anheuser-Busch brewery. Cooper was in heaven with all of the attention from his Nan and Uncle Rob!

One down, one yet to finish!

Photobucket

I have finally finished Cooper's big boy room! As some of you remember, the room started out purple, and the bunk beds made their appearance in March! This nausea and pregnancy have slowed me down, because I am usually OCD about getting things done pretty quickly. The room has been mostly done for a while, but with a little help from Dan and my mom, we finished it yesterday! Here are a few pictures of the room. Please ignore the couple of empty picture frames- saving those for pictures from the next few weeks! Hopefully nursery pictures will follow very soon, since we only have 8 days until baby sister arrives!

First Swimming Lessons!

Cooper took his first round of swimming lessons over the last few weeks! He has had a tremendous fear of the water which stems from having tubes in his ears and hating ear plugs. The opportunity came up for four little ones around the same age to take lessons from an instructor, and we jumped on it! The beginning of the two weeks of lessons looked alot like this picture:

Several lessons he cried almost the entire time! The instructor, "Miss" Courtney, gets the prize, though, because she got this fearful little boy swimming!

He still needs a little coaxing to jump off the diving board, but other than that, he made incredible progress!

Cooper's friend, Harrison, was the champion swimmer of the group and fearless of the water. Hopefully he has rubbed off on Cooper a little bit!

Thankfully after all the time, heat (mainly felt by this very pregnant mom), and effort, the two weeks of lessons left Cooper a little bit happier and excited about swimming!

1st real haircut...

As most of you can tell from the many blog pictures, I am a fan of shaggy hair on little boys. Cooper has just enough curl to pull it off, so I have been his hairdresser for the last year and a half. The time finally arrived for a "real" haircut, and thankfully, one of our close friends is a stylist (and she also likes the shaggy, curl look on little boys since she has one herself)! Cooper did not know quite what to think, but Miss Tricia did a great job and calmed his fears! The result is the perfect amount of shagginess for this little boy with no hair in his eyes!
