Congratulations, Nanie!

My sister, Natalie (or Nanie), got her acceptance letter to dental school today!!! We couldn't be happier for her! My parents are out of town this week, so Dan and I have been on mail duty waiting for the letter to come. Today, Dan got the mail, and I went through it and found "the letter" and was able to read it to Nat over the phone! How exciting!!! I posted a picture of the letter so that she can see it! Nat, we are so proud of you and we love you! Yeah!

Buses and boats and trucks- oh my!

Cooper's day has been more than full of fun things for a two year old! He loves buses of any kind, and we have been telling him he could take a trip on the Jackson City Bus for months! Our family adventure started out trying to track down a bus for Dan & Cooper to ride.

Here the boys are waiting for the bus

and finally boarding one! The bus driver let them on for free (since Dan only had a $5 bill and the machine didn't give change) and Cooper had a blast! He sang "Wheels on the Bus" and greeted the other passengers!

Here is the view of the bus from the warm Tahoe where I trailed the boys on the bus!

The bus took the boys downtown where I picked them up, and we headed to the boat show that also included a few trucks! A very fun morning for this little boy!

Happy February!

We are loving February around here for many reasons! One being spring is around the corner, and this weekend it has felt like it! We are so thankful for some nice mild weather after the below 20 degree temperatures that have become way too common in Tennessee! We are excited about Valentine's Day and the crafts and "happies" that come with it! The above yummy cookie is something we plan on making this week (directions are linked).
We attempted to do a hand-print craft project like my friend, Holly, did with her little girl. It is yet to be seen how it will turn out, but Cooper had a blast with the finger paints!

Cheesing it up for the camera at a birthday party for Cooper's friend, Reed!
