First day of school- Finally!

Cooper's cold that he picked up the weekend the baby was born was finally not too bad this morning, so he started school! With the help of driver Dodo (aka Joise!), we all got there in one piece. Daddy met us from work there to take Cooper in! He had a great morning! He loved the firetruck on the playground and playing with new friends (whose names he couldn't begin to remember)! His teachers were so sweet, and we are glad he was able to start today!

Better late than never!

I am finally finished with Reese Ann's nursery! Even though I feel like I finished this room late, really her due date was today. So in a way I am right on time! Here are a few pictures of her room. She will not sleep there for a few more weeks, but it is all ready and waiting for her!

A week later...

We are adjusting to being a family of four! We are sleeping a good amount for having a week-old baby and having fun hanging out and bonding! Dan was able to take the week off to be at home which has helped me tremendously after my c-section and with not being able to drive. We've had lots of visitors and help from family and friends, too! Reese Ann is gaining weight and after a little concern about her bilirubin count, has been deemed healthy! No more doctors for two weeks anyway! Cooper loves his baby sister, but has had a bad cold all week, so it has been a challenge to keep him out of her face. We will be glad when it passes, and he can love on her more and can start pre-school next week! I am so thankful to not be pregnant anymore that I feel like I can handle anything around here!

Reese Dianne Sikes...

Photobucket

is here! She was born yesterday morning, September 4th at 8:31 in the morning. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 18 1/2 inches long. She is named after both of her grandmothers, and we are calling her "Reese Ann." She is acting like a typical newborn- sleeping and eating- and has gotten tons of attention from all of her adoring family members! Big brother, Cooper, is doing great and loves having a baby sister- for now! Here are a few pictures from yesterday and today, and we will post more when we have time!

Family of 3 not much longer...

Photobucket

Dan, Cooper, and I took our last big family outing this past weekend as a family of 3!! For any of you unfamiliar with Jackson, it is the home of Casey Jones and there is an entire village and museum dedicated to him. Cooper has been borderline obsessed with trains lately, so we decided to take him to the museum to see the trains and such. He loved it, but wanted to know why they all did not work. I guess that will be our next adventure once baby sister is here. I am going in for a c-section Friday morning first thing, so keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and I will get pictures of baby sister up as soon as I can! Until then, a few more of Cooper at Casey Jones Village...
