We got a huge amount of snow in West Tennessee with enough ice that it has refrozen at night! The snow should be gone (at least off the roads) tomorrow, but two school snow days and some missed work time for Dan has made this a fun snowy long weekend! G-Chip and Edie have been sweet enough to let us take friends over to their hilly neighborhood to play and also bring their trail-wagon back to our neighborhood to pull sleds behind! These little boys are big enough this winter that they have thoroughly enjoyed the snow fun without being too timid!

Trains, trains, and more trains!
Cooper is train-obsessed these days- mostly with the Thomas and friends trains, but he likes them all! Our winter days at home have mostly been spent playing with trains of some sort! He plays with them downstairs, upstairs, on the stairs, on the track and the loudest place- on the tile! We constantly hear shouts of "ALL ABOARD" followed by reminders of using his inside voice!
the pop-up Thomas train in our "train-overloaded" playroom
SURPRISE- look who is inside! She is such a laid-back baby and good sport with her brother's games!
What does this picture have to do with trains you ask? Cooper is wearing his Thomas pajamas while watching a "train video" on you tube on the iphone. Such an addicting past-time, so they are only watched when absolutely necessary- like last night during our two and a half hour trip for antibiotics at convenient care!
and last, but certainly not least, the train track upstairs that Dan so patiently has taken apart and put back together many times!

Celebrating little sister!
We had Natalie's bachelorette party this weekend! She and Eric are getting married the first of June, but between everyone's school and work schedules, MLK weekend was the best choice! Other than the craziness that surrounded us before we took off for the weekend (my broken toe the night before and getting two kids situated with grandmothers because Dan had to travel for a funeral), we had a wonderful time in Nashville with 14 of Natalie's closest friends celebrating the bride-to-be with lingerie, lots of good food and friends!!

Four Months...
and our sweet Reese Ann continues to be nothing but delightful! She weighs in at 12 lbs 4 oz in the 25th percentile, but 50th percentile for height and head size. Speaking of her head, she has recovered remarkably well from her skull fracture. We are still watching her closely until the end of March. She is grabbing and playing with toys and babbling and cooing. Cooper loves to talk and play with her, and she loves to watch him! Reese Ann is a great sleeper and such a joy around here! We can't remember what life was life before her arrival!

First dentist visit!
Cooper's first dentist appointment was yesterday, and he did great! He had watched Dan get his teeth cleaned this fall, so he was prepared! He has been playing with a dentist chair at Edie's lately and has been saying he wanted to be a dentist much to the delight of auntie Nanie who is in dental school, but today he said he decided he wanted to be a hovercraft driver instead. We'll see how many times his life's ambition changes, but for today, we'll let him dream!

Happy New Year!
We have had a wonderful New Year's Eve and New Year's weekend around here! I have no pictures to show for it, but our community group and a few other church couples came over to ring in the New Year Thursday night. Following that has been a lazy weekend with lots of football and family time! I hope everyone is excited about this new decade that is upon us! I am not the best at New Year's resolutions, but I am going to try really hard to keep mine this year- I have felt very led to read through the Bible in 2010. I am encouraged in my feat because we got our new phones December 30th, and I was able to find an app that is used for this very thing. I have no excuses now! I can read anywhere! I hope that 2010 is a blessed year for everyone! Happy New Year!
Cooper's sweet aunties took him to see Ice at Opry Mills which was Charlie Brown themed. He has had an attitude about pictures lately, so this is the best they could get!

Holiday Recap...
I am a little tardy in getting a post up about our Christmas! This week Dan and I got i phones so most of our free time has been spent figuring them out, not on the computer blogging! We had a wonderful Christmas- lots of toys, food, and time spent with grandparents, aunts and uncles! My children are so blessed by the number of people who love on them everyday! I hate that they do not have cousins their age, but the flip side is lots of attention and love for them. At Christmas this also translates into lots of toys and stuff!!

Cooper kept telling us that it needed to snow before Santa could come. We tried to explain to him that we lived in the South and that it doesn't always snow on Christmas and that Santa would come anyway. Well, not long after we got up Christmas morning, I noticed a little snow coming down and a light dusting already on the rooftops- Cooper kind of looked at me like "I told you so!"
