The last week or so...

around here has been absolutely crazy, but lots of fun! We took the kids to the river for Memorial Day weekend, and Reese Ann loved her first trip to our favorite summer getaway!



She and Cooper had so much fun playing on the top of the boat in the kiddie pool.



After the relaxing weekend at the river, the wedding madness began! I do not have tons of pictures to share, but we caught a few moments of the week & weekend. This was Cooper's pre-rehearsal ring bearer practice-





He did well at his own practice, horribly at the rehearsal on Friday night, but he pulled it out at the wedding! This momma was very emotionally composed until I took my place on the alter and turned around to see my little boy walking down the aisle exactly like we had told him to- then I turned to mush!

End of School!

Cooper has finished his first year of playschool! I can't believe it is the middle of May and that the school year is over, but it was tons of fun celebrating with his classmates and teachers! They put on the cutest program singing songs that represented all of the months of school. Cooper has had a blast singing the songs the last few weeks at home, and it was fun to see the program and all the little 2, 3, and 4 year old faces!



Cooper absolutely adores a little friend from his class and neighborhood named Lainey Kate. They share the same birthday, and we have long-standing connections with both of her parents. Cooper was all about Lainey Kate during the entire program even singing the "Valentine's" song straight to her. They had a great time together performing, and it will be fun to see them grow up together!



Cooper with his two sweet teachers, Miss Libby and Miss Jennifer. He already told me this morning that he missed Miss Libby. Thankfully, we will be returning to First Pres playschool in the fall!

8 Months

Reese Ann is 8 months old! She is such a joy and is developing her own little personality! She is such a happy baby and a great eater and sleeper! She is eating rice cereal, oatmeal, fruits and vegetables at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap and sleeps close to 12 hours at night. She loves sitting up and playing and is very close to crawling (although this mama is not rushing it)! She and Cooper play so well together mostly under close supervision because of big brother's "rough love."

We took some pictures on Mother's Day in an antique pram that my mom had hoped we could use in Natalie & Eric's upcoming wedding for the two babies, but it did not made the wedding plans cut- not the most practical mode of transportation for two. Mom convinced me to take some pictures in it before she returned it to her friend and they are great to have to mark Reese Ann turning eight months!

Lately...

Things have been rather busy around here trying to re-establish our daily routine, and unfortunately the blog has suffered! Here is an update of what we have been up to lately in pictures...

7 months

Little Miss Reese Ann is 7 months! We can't believe it! After being such a calm, sweet baby, she is coming to life and really developing a cute personality! She likes to be in the middle of things and loves watching her brother! She is very ticklish and likes to be played with, kissed on and give kisses back! She loves playing while sitting up- it's like a whole new world! She loves her bed and will kick and play in there for hours if we let her! She loves playing outside, and we are excited about this spring and summer with her!

6 months!

I cannot believe that our precious Reese Ann is six months old! The time has flown by, but it also feels like she has always been here! She continues to be nothing but a sweet, precious, joyful, and laid-back baby! She is still quite petite (weighing in at only about 13 1/2 pounds), so it's somewhat funny to see her 6 month motor skills on such a little person! Here are a few things that define her in her 6th month:

She loves to chew on her fist and hands,
She has two teeth that can be seen under the gums, but have yet to make their way through (Cooper says they are "sleeping"), rolls over both ways,
She is quite attached to her pacifiers,
sleeps about 12 hours at night mostly on her side,
wakes up cooing and playing every day and gives the biggest smile you have ever seen
when she is rescued from her crib,
has precious "fat-baby" thighs (mama's favorite!),
she has gotten tons of dark hair back over the last few weeks,
has been eating rice cereal and just started eating oatmeal,
loves to grab anything she can get her hands on- including mom's earrings,
plays with her feet whenever she can get to them,
is sitting up for short periods of time (will be only days before she realizes how fun it is to sit up!),
She loves to stand up in your lap, on the floor, or wherever she can and is very strong!

We are so thankful for the blessing that she is to our lives and family, and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for her next 6 months and the years to come!
