a little humor...

After a couple of days being stressed out about the election and the state of both the economy and my "evil" pharmaceutical job, this was a fun surprise in my inbox from my friend, Susan! Laughter is good medicine for sure! We are getting excited about Halloween around here for several reasons, but one being that Cooper is having a birthday party that night and will be two the next day! Hope this makes you laugh! Happy Trick or Treating!

The Beach!

The last leg of our vacation was so great! We were at the beach with a bunch of Dan's friends from college to celebrate the wedding of Bryan and Heather. They are both so great, and we had a blast with all of his friends.

Rehearsal Dinner night when all of the boys wound up in the pool! Yes, Dan's shirt ripped, and he became Rambo.

Cooper loving Micah's guitar playing (and
dancing to it, too!).
Running and playing on the front porch of the house

Cooper and his friend, Lily!

Coop's two favorite people at the beach- "the baby" (as he called her all day long- also known as Evie) and Jason (the baby and Lily's dad).Posted by Picasa
What a sunset for a wedding! Congrats Chambers and Heather!

Disney- day 2

Cooper had such a good time at Disney! He played and rode rides and talked about buses and monorails all day long! We started the day at Disney Hollywood Studios and spent the majority at Magic Kingdom. What a fun experience! We are at the beach now relaxing and preparing to celebrate the marriage of some friends this weekend. Will post on the third part of vacation soon!

Disney- day 1

We have survived our first day of Disney fun! We had a blast! Other than a little rain, the day was great! We started at Animal Kingdom and hopped to Epcot. Cooper loved Animal Kingdom- especially the safari; Dan and I loved the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot! The Disney buses were Cooper's favorite thing today, though. Isn't that typical? Take a child to Disney World when you could have taken him to the Jackson bus stop instead! We found a toy Disney bus that we had to buy at the end of the day to remember the fun!

First Leg of the Marathon Vacation...

I wish I could say that the trip to Auburn was a total blast. Unfortunately all parts of the weekend were not fun including the football game which was just wrong. Our Saturday morning began with finding our car towed, and it never seemed to get much better. The one high point was tailgating at Natalie's house. "The White House" as they call it is so great! Nat and 9 of her friends live there very close to campus and have a great set-up! They had all of their families over to tailgate, and we had a great time! Thanks, girls, for the hospitality and for putting up with a crazy, almost two-year-old running around for the day! We have made it to Disney and are headed to the park in the morning!

Cooper and Caroline- the niece of Nat's friend, Kathleen- swinging

Cornhole was a highlight!

The Edwards/Sikes Fam before the game (we missed you Sister)

Coop & Dan at the game (can you tell Cooper wasn't too sure about the experience)

Cooper and his Nanie!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

I didn't actually buy this hat for Dan's birthday, but he and Cooper posed for a picture in one of the many Downtown Disney stores with it on! You can't tell in the picture, but the candles on the top light up! Happy Birthday, Dan! We love you and are thankful for you everyday! Thanks for spending your birthday driving us!

Exhausted!!

I think our bundle of energy is growing! He is eating all day and sleeping lots (thank goodness). He sacked out on the couch watching Wheel of Fortune! Maybe he is resting up for our marathon vacation that starts on Friday! We are headed to Auburn, Disney World, and then the beach for a friend's wedding and will be gone for 9 days! Think about us with this almost two-year old traveling! Thank goodness for the new car's DVD player!! Will post soon about our travels!
